Volunteer Opportunities
The Freedom Division Advisory Council partners with the CMPD Freedom Division to implement functions in the community that will provide positive impact. In addition, it provides opportunities for community members to participate in the impact. These opportunities are not successful without the dedication of community volunteers.

2021 Freedom Division Holiday Senior Dinner
Volunteer Opportunity
For 20 plus years, the CMPD-Freedom Division has been hosting an annual holiday dinner for seniors that reside in the community.

CMPD-Freedom Division is continuing the tradition . CMPD- Freedom Division has partnered with The Freedom Division Advisory Council (FDAC)to provide pick-up or delivery meals on the event date. We have several volunteer opportunities for this event.

2021 Shop with a Cop
Volunteer Opportunity
On the day of the event, uniformed officers will head to Walmart on Wilkinson Blvd. and go shopping with their “Partner for the Day”. Each child will be provided the opportunity to shop for themselves while being accompanied by a police officer.

This will be CMPD Freedom Division third "Shop with a Cop Event" that is sponsored by Wal-mart. If you are interested in volunteering , there will be several opportunities open to the community.
Community Events
The Freedom Division Advisory Council collaborates with the CMPD Freedom Division and other partners on implementing community education opportunities, events that impact specific areas of need, and different functions that provide an approach to problem solving. Our community members our encouraged to attend events within the CMPD Freedom Division.

Holiday Senior Dinner
Registration Requirements:

CMPD- Freedom Division has partnered with a local catering company and The Freedom Division Advisory Council (FDAC)to provide pick-up or delivery meals .
If you are a senior 55 years old or older and reside in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Freedom Division, you are eligible to receive a hot meal delivered to your residence or you may opt to pick-up the meal from the event location.
